The challenge

Study abroad consultancies lose revenue at two points: when enquiries fall between counsellor desks, and when admission documentation stalls because processes live in email and spreadsheets. Collegepond needed a system to track every student from first contact through final admission. Edubao.org faced a different operational problem: German university applicants needed a blocked account opened as part of the visa process, and managing that requirement alongside digital counselling required a platform built for the specific regulatory and documentation workflow.

How we approached it

Collegepond: Appetals designed and built an enquiry-to-admission CRM specific to study abroad consultancy operations. The system tracked the full student lifecycle from initial enquiry through counsellor assignment, shortlisting, application preparation, offer management, and final admission. Counsellors worked from a shared queue with no lead fallthrough between handoffs.

Edubao.org: Appetals built a digital platform addressing the two operational requirements unique to Germany-bound students: blocked account facilitation (the deposit mechanism required for a German student visa) and digital counselling from first enquiry through application. The platform connected the counselling workflow to the blocked-account process in a single student record.
