Gocon Logistics
Appetals built Gocon a mobile app, web app, and admin dashboard that replaced manual paperwork and uncoordinated phone-call bookings across container trailer movement.
The challenge
Moving a container between a warehouse and an Indian port still ran on phone calls and paper. Importers and exporters had no shared tool to book and track the trailer that carries the box. Shippers, transporters, and port-side staff worked from their own records, with no common view of where a shipment was.
That gap is expensive. Indian ports already lose time at the quayside. Nhava Sheva, the country's largest container port, has long run multi-day vessel turnaround against hours at ports like Singapore. Add manual, uncoordinated trailer booking on the land side, and delay compounds at every handoff: the booking, the documentation, the dispatch, the gate.
Gocon set out to digitise that land-side coordination. It engaged Appetals to map the full container-movement process and build one system for every participant: shippers, transporters, and port administrators.

How we approached it
Appetals ran process discovery across the container-shipment workflow first, from warehouse dispatch to port delivery, to fix the real operating requirements before any design started. The engagement ran for seven months.
The output was a three-surface system. A mobile app for shippers and transporters in the field. A web app for operational management. An admin dashboard for oversight and reporting. The platform was built to remove manual documentation at each stage of booking and shipment, and to give every stakeholder shared, real-time visibility into where a shipment stood.
Delivery scope: mobile application, web application, and admin dashboard, serving shippers and transporters across the container-shipment lifecycle. Project duration seven months.

Outcomes
Manual documentation was removed across the container-shipment workflow. Shippers, transporters, and port administrators shared visibility for the first time, against a single system rather than three sets of records. The platform attacked the core cost driver: uncoordinated trailer booking, replaced by one booking and tracking flow.
