Mahindra Glyd
Appetals built the full-stack technology system behind Glyd, Mahindra's premium electric mobility service in Mumbai.
The challenge
Mahindra set out to launch more than an electric cab. Glyd was a premium, tech-led commute for executives, and its whole promise lived in the experience: connected-car features, web-conferencing, curated entertainment, privacy, fixed premium routes.
That promise lives or dies in software. A clumsy booking flow or an unreliable in-car layer would sink a premium price the moment it launched. Mahindra needed a platform that matched the brand.
How we approached it
Appetals built the technology platform that runs Glyd. Route-based booking and ride management for a fixed premium network, plus the connected-car layer behind the in-commute experience: web-conferencing, curated entertainment and music, and the controls for the premium features.
Built to carry a Mahindra-grade promise from the app to the back seat.
Outcomes
Mahindra launched Glyd in Mumbai in February 2019, flagging off its first electric sedans on select routes between residential hubs and business districts like Bandra Kurla Complex and Lower Parel, with named technology and connectivity partners. The platform Appetals built was the operating layer under that launch.
